Volunteer with VLAFF 2026!
Thank you for your interest in joining the volunteer team for the 24th Vancouver Latin American Film Festival, taking place September 10–20, 2026.
Volunteers are an essential part of VLAFF, helping us create a welcoming, organized, and memorable experience for audiences, artists, and community members. Please review the position descriptions carefully and select the shifts that best match your interests, availability, experience, and qualifications. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels. Whether this is your first festival or you are a returning VLAFF volunteer, we’re excited to have you join us!
Finding the Right Shifts
Use the viewing options at the top of the signup schedule to explore available shifts in the format that works best for you:
1. Calendar or Grid View: See shifts organized visually across the festival dates.
2. By Job: Browse all available shifts for a specific volunteer position, such as Cinema Crew, Courtyard Crew, or Box Office.
3. By Date: See all volunteer opportunities available on a particular festival day.
You may find it helpful to first browse *By Job* to identify the positions that interest you, and then use *Calendar or Grid View* to check how those shifts fit into your availability. Please double-check the *date, time, location, and position* before completing your selection.
A Few Important Notes
* Please only register for shifts you are confident you can attend.
* Some positions require specific qualifications, previous experience, additional training, or approval from the VLAFF team.
* Shift locations and responsibilities may vary across festival venues.
* Volunteers may be asked to support related tasks when festival needs change.
* Mandatory Volunteer Orientation: Sept 3, 7:15pm - 9:15pm
